Position: Assistant Intake Coordinator (Experience Needed w/Medicaid & Medicare background):

Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Job Duties:

• Receiving new patient referrals and scheduling them to be seen by our providers
• Verifying patient insurance coverage and benefits
• Calling patient as well as referring agency to confirm appointments, providing assistance, and answering any relevant questions
• Creating new patient record in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and entering all relevant intake information as needed and in a timely manner
• Ensuring that all appropriate documentation is entered and uploaded correctly into EMR (Electronic Medical Record), and kept up to date
• Logging all scheduled patient visits as well as the status of the appointment, and logging relevant communications in patients’ chart
• Receiving incoming calls regarding scheduling/new patients and answering questions as needed
• Taking patient payments over the phone
• Working with fellow administration team to retrieve missing patient information
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations
• Performing additional clerical work as assigned

• Previous phone experience a plus
• Microsoft Outlook and Office experience a plus
• Adobe experience a plus
• Knowledge of insurance benefits a plus, especially regarding Medicare, PPO, and HMO plans

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Computer Skills: 1 year (Preferred)

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
